U4GM PoE 3.27 Graft and Implant Gear Power Guide - jeanasd - 10/11/2025

The Necropolis league in Path of Exile 3.27 shakes up how you craft gear, letting you piece together powerful items from the spirits of slain monsters. Out in the maps, you will be using the Lantern of Arimor to spot which packs are haunted and what kind of mods they carry.

Each haunted monster you kill drops a corpse that keeps its spirit’s modifier and the item level from that zone. That item level matters a lot – it decides how high the tier of that mod can go. If you are aiming for top-end stats, you will want high-level corpses. This is where planning comes in, because grabbing the right corpses is way better than just taking whatever drops. It is a bit like stacking the right PoE Currency before a big craft – preparation pays off.

When you have enough corpses, you head to the Necropolis. Here, you lay them out on a burial grid. The base item you get depends on the corpses you choose, and the explicit mods are exactly the ones their spirits had. So, if you bury a mix that gives fire damage, more life, and cold res, that is what your final item will roll. The tier of each mod still comes from the corpse’s item level, so mixing high and low level ones can hold you back. The trick is to think ahead about what kind of gear slot you are aiming for and only keep corpses that fit that plan.

Farming with intent is the real game-changer here. Before you even open a map, check the spirits in your Lantern. Pick the ones that give you the mods you want, and attach them to monster packs that are quick to find and easy to kill. This way you are not wasting time on random drops. Over time, you will build a stash of corpses that all work toward one or two specific crafts, instead of ending up with a pile of junk you will never use. Players who do this consistently can make endgame gear without relying on pure RNG.

There are also special corpses worth chasing. Some come with effects like +1 to number of Explicit Modifiers or a 25% chance for a modifier to be a tier higher. Dropping one of these into your burial can turn a good item into a monster. Think about synergy too – pairing flat physical damage with increased physical and crit chance makes for a deadly weapon, while mixing unrelated mods can leave you with something underwhelming.

The more you match your corpses to your build’s strengths, the better your results. Done right, this system can produce gear that rivals anything from traditional crafting, and with the right stash of PoE Currency buy, you can keep pushing your character’s power even further.
